We all want our precious ones look amazing and have fashionable good quality clothes. But the bad part is, it is often expensive. So here is my best tip today... Buy clothes at the end of the season! Maybe it is not the secret for the most of you, but rarely we actually plan main shopping at the end. Most of the time, we try to run and buy at the beginning of the season. The logic is very understandable, but the prices can be sky high, especially if we are talking winter clothes. So right now, it is the perfect time to stock up on jackets, sweaters, hats, etc! If you need some seasonal clothes for an adult or older teenager, the task is easy, they barely change from year to year (teenagers grow more significantly, but still somewhat predictable). But when time comes to choose clothes for kid, it can get trickier. My advise is to buy clothes one year size bigger. I remember buying exactly a year ago one pretty little sweater for my son from ZARA, just for fracture of the cost. And guess what, it fits him perfectly today! It sat in his closet for a year, but didn't lose it's value.
But there are two things that i would not recommend you to buy for same season next year:
- Clothes that are highly fashionable. Certain fashion trends last only troughout one season, so next time this season comes, those clothes will looks old fashioned ( and we don't want that, don't we?)
- Shoes. I find it extremely hard to calculate which size of shoes child would wear in one year from now. They grow unpredictably and shoes are sized by just some numbers, not by age. Your little one could grow two, three or even four sizes up in one year.
